Our roots in Dalkeith go back to 1978, and we still work from the same premises we have called home ever since.
Over the decades, the business has carried out everything from small repairs in local homes to major plumbing and heating projects across Edinburgh and the Lothians. That experience has shaped the way we work today: professionally, reliably and with a strong emphasis on doing the job properly.
In 2017, the business was incorporated as a limited company, and in 2024 we rebranded as Limitless Heating Ltd. Many long-standing customers will still know us as Melville, Whitson & Muir. The name has changed, but the experience, people and local roots behind the business remain.
Today, Limitless Heating combines that history with the structure of a modern heating company. We have our own registered engineers, a dedicated office team and the capability to handle everything from routine plumbing and servicing to boiler installations and larger projects.

Between us, we have decades of experience in plumbing and heating, and that experience shapes how we run Limitless Heating.
We look for people who take pride in their work, communicate well and want to keep improving. Technical ability is important, but attitude matters just as much. We both stay closely involved in the business and expect the same high standards from ourselves as we do from everyone in the team.
We also believe that experienced tradespeople have a responsibility to bring the next generation through. We are committed to taking on apprentices, giving them the right guidance and helping them develop into skilled, confident and fully qualified engineers.
